Obligations, Requirements and Consent

All participants of the Trust & Play Hackathon must commit to full participation throughout the entire hackathon period and comply with the event rules set by the organizers.

📌 Participation Commitment:

  • Teams must ensure that at least one team member is available for all mandatory checkpoints and has participated in at least two mentoring sessions to remain eligible for awards.
  • Teams are expected to follow the timeline, respect submission deadlines, and contribute actively to the hackathon experience.

📄 Compliance and Disqualification:

  • Organizers reserve the right to disqualify teams that do not comply with the rules, fail to participate in checkpoints, or violate the event's collaborative spirit and ethical standards.

🧠 Intellectual Property:

  • All ideas developed during the hackathon remain with the teams; however, information shared publicly (e.g. during pitches or on the platform) is considered part of the open innovation environment.
  • Teams are encouraged to consider how much detail to disclose in their public-facing pitch materials.

📸 Event Documentation:

  • The event may include documentation such as video recordings, live streams, and photography during DemoDay or virtual sessions.
  • By participating in the hackathon, participants consent to the use of publicly shared content (e.g. team name, project name, pitch videos) for promotional purposes by the organizers and their partners.

This includes potential publication on websites, social media, partner materials, and presentations associated with the hackathon or w3 ff activities.

📌 Note: The organizers may update these guidelines during the pre-hack phase. Any changes will be communicated via the official hackathon platform and WhatsApp channels.
